Originally from rural Missouri, Kuranda received her Bachelor Degree from Duke University in Public Policy Studies in 2018 before earning her law degree from Lewis and Clark Law School in 2021. Kuranda interned with the Lewis and Clark Small Business Legal Clinic and worked as the Clinic Coordinator with the Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Kuranda enjoys spending time with her cats, Jax and Murphy, hiking, gardening, and watching obscure cinema.
